Default Re: KQ hand at NL 25

I have started pushing all-in against short stacks at 25NL when I have a hand. People seem to think it is a bluff, and call it as least as often as they call a 1/2 pot value bet. Bigger stacks tend to lay down slightly more often, and value betting may be better against them.

But I would have folded top pair here.

You really think I should buy in for $25 without a big bankroll?

How small is your roll? If you can't risk losing the full amount, you aren't playing your A game and you are at a psychological disadvantage which makes you play weak tight. Go crush the 10s for a month and come back to NL25.

Edit: My personal experience - I started out playing Absolute 50NL (.10/.25 blind structure --> 200BB stacks) buying in at only 25. Most of the competition also bought in for 25, so for the most part it wasn't an issue. Before this I played Bet365 20NL full ring with $80 to my name, I sat down on four tables with my entire bankroll. It worked for me and now I can do my proper bankroll management and risk aversion stuff. I had a very high risk of ruin, luckily I started out good.
