Re: Royal flush draw misses almost everything
[ QUOTE ]
The minute you raised pf the spotlight is on you, and you have to play accordingly. [/ QUOTE ] So since you raised preflop, you must continue to bluff to the bitter end? This is ridiculous. A lot of twoplustwoers like to label others "weaktight" but in reality a lot of twoplustwoers apply aggression in the wrong spots and leak a lot of money that way. The SB is a loose, passive, bad fish. The other player is "horrible". There is an A and a J on the board. The pot is big. They both put in two bets on the flop. All this adds up to a chance of you taking the pot down on the turn about 2% of the time. And you're getting checkraised often enough to boot. It's seriously not very close if you think about it. They are calling you down with any piece of the board or even less. You're just not getting sufficient pot odds for this semibluff. |

Re: Royal flush draw misses almost everything
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I suppose this river is a fold. I thought there would be times EP would bet a J here, thinking I missed a spade draw. Or maybe she had a draw and just hit her Q, but I have a better kicker. Who knows, at the time I felt it was worth a call, but maybe it's a fold. Anyway, she had 32o and MHING. [/ QUOTE ] I think the river is a call. She could be betting a worse Q or J or a missed flush draw. I think the pot odds are sufficient. nh |
