Stars and Paradise bonuses do not expire either. I have somewhere around $1k in uncleared bonuses between those two sites for when I move up in limits enough to make it worthwhile to clear them.

Are these bonus applicable to micro limit games? Also, how are you able to rack up $1k in uncleared bonuses for just those 2 sites alone?

the following sites:
Ultimate Bet
Paradise
Pokerstars

have bonuses that never expire and are stackable. so you can put, for example, $400 into paradise and get $100 in bonus, withdraw the money a few days later, and come back when you're willing to play. if another bonus becomes available, you can do it again, and you'll have $200 in bonus available.

building bonuses at these sites require you to be nimble. Example: i just finished a bonus at paradise and cashed out, and i was going to head over to a prima room, but then UB posted a %50/$200 reload bonus. So I took all my money over there, deposited it, and will likely play some of it off this weekend. Whatever I don't clear will remain, and i'll head over to Prima (where the sign up bonus will clear much faster than the UB reload), and return to UB when there aren't any good bonuses to take advantage of.

That's pretty much how it works. You generally need to be competitive at 50/1 or higher to clear bonuses. And hopefully along the way, you pick up on the game and you start making money primarily off your play (i'm still working on that).

I'd reccomend hitting up the Boss Network skins such as Sportingbet and Casino.net that still have 100 dollar bonii that only require a 30 min deposit. (Check their sites first, of course) You can clear these against the worst players in the world, at very low stakes. Then move on to Paradise, and maybe Golden Tiger if you can deal with Prima.

I'm not sure about Paradise, since I've barely even played there, but at Stars I think .5/1 is the lowest where you could clear the bonus in any reasonable amount of time. I think that it will clear (very slowly) at .25/.5 though. I'm waiting until I'm playing at least 2/4 before I worry too much about it though, so long as there are good bonuses elsewhere.

Since the bonuses stack and never expire, I just deposit for each reload, wait a few days, and withdraw. I have a big enough bankroll to move the money around without any real limitations. I've been doing this for several months. I just checked the exact numbers and I have $300 in uncleared bonus at Paradise and $630 at Stars, for a total of $930 in uncleared bonus. A quick check of the bonus grid shows that it will clear at the following rates per table hour:

.........Stars....Paradise
.5/1...$2.82....$4.26
1/2....$4.43....$5.61
2/4....$7.78....$3.89
3/6....$8.78....$4.39

This is for full ring. I'm glad I posted this, because I thought Paradise cleared faster at higher limits. Since this isn't the case, I'll probably get to work on that pretty soon. It's pretty clear that I should wait on Stars though since it will clear over 75% faster at 2/4 than at 1/2. Of course, there are faster clearing bonuses out there (Cryptos, etc.), so I'll probably play some of them before I worry too much about Paradise, but it just moved up on my list.

I went and checked out casino.net, and they've got a $200 immediate bonus if you deposit $800, but it doesn't say what the details are. Does anyone know how many raked hands you have to play to be able to withdraw?

Also, based on all the forum postings I've read today, I've decided to get the GSIH book first and completely read that before I do anything. Then I may play a little while reading up on SSH. With this plan, hopefully after a couple of months, I'll be able to have some money from bonuses and winnings and a lot of good experience.

I suggest that you try bet365 and GoldenRiveriaPoker (Prima skins). Both have a $50 flat bonus on a $50 deposit. You only need to play 250 raked hands (a hand must be raked 25c to count) for the bonus to clear. It's easy to clear even at 0.25/0.50.

Hmm, I guess Casino.net's bonus has changed. I wouldn't use that as a bonus building thing, my mistake.

The poster above me's Prima reccomendations are good ones for a low bankroll, check em out.

The answer to your question is yes.

And you don't have to use bonuses to do it. They are nice but not necessary.

I played for 1 year before finding 2+2 and was down $350. Since the first of the year (when I found this site) I made it back to even (which was cashed out) and now have the roll for 2/4 and almost 3/6. I didn't deposit for my first bonus until I had a net profit of about $400. It can be done. But you got to study and work your ass off. good luck.

I agree with the rest Homer and Wookie's posts remain good guides. I also have recent experience at sportingbet.com and casino.net. I think the bonus you mentioned for casino.net applies to deposits for their casino and not their poker room. The poker bonus (at casino.net and sportingbet.com) is $100 for 500 raked hands. (I think the minimum deposit is $20 but I put in $50 at each site so I can't swear to that). Once you make you initial deposit you can play at any limit. The rules for bonus clearing are very easy. Any pot you play in (including from blinds) in which the pot reaches at least $1 counts as a raked hand - this essentially means any hand you play counts. After 100 raked hands you recieve a $30 bonus; after 400 more raked hands you recieve an additional $70. Thus if you go to these two sites and play break even poker you will be up $200. I cleared both sites in about 2 weeks without much trouble. Good luck!!

wow, casino.net's poker bonus sounds pretty easy. What is the lowest tables they have? Since I was stupid enough to make my first deposit to party and have lost it and the deposit, i'm definetly going to check out casino.net...after I'm done reading GSIH.
