I understand your position of placing total trust in the idea (as I place my total trust in many scientific axioms), but I would change my views completely if proof was presented, and at the very least, look at my views from the inside out, if a theory was presented, whether or not it was yet a fact.

With specific regard to the Resurrection, I think it's equally problematic attempting to prove or disprove its occurance (probably a corrolary to the attempts to prove or disprove God's existence). The event can then be classified as an article of Faith, which is where it precisely belongs.

"The event can then be classified as an article of Faith, which is where it precisely belongs."

So how can someone be blamed for not having that faith, even after studying the subject (eg a pious rabbi)?

I will concede that it can be classified as an article of faith, however, I would tend to believe that if the validity of Christianity as a whole could be questioned (in this case, by the 'copycat' function), then one could accurately place an equal proportion of 'lack of faith' in the resurrection (or any part of the bible for that matter) as well.

I personally have no authority to blame anyone for faith (or lack thereof). We have a saying in the military..."stay in your lane."

This is clearly God's lane.

Please, consider carefully--how is it that all of these events/considerations happen to be supposedly repeated in Palestine 2100 years ago within the life of 33 years?

Remember these were gods/happenings throughout the world(Americas, Asia, etc) of which many did not know of each other(supposedly).

Similar mythologies(as we call them today) appear throughout the world and your assumption is that not only are they false but the Christian is false because they were present before.

Doesn't it strike you as strange that so many cultures would have a similar/same mythology in the known and unknown worlds? Could it be that this ancient wisdom/religious experience had a source and if so what was that source?

Was there any truth before our era?

How is it that the Mexican mysteries had a similar experience and what was it's nature?

I personally find this to be very damaging to the validity of Christianity.

[/ QUOTE ]

As damaging as this list is to your credibility?

Really? I don't think I've every said that "nothing will change my mind" before.

The Resurrection is an essential tenet of my Faith that I am at ease placing my total trust in.

If you were born in Pakistan, do you think you would have placed your total and complete trust in Mohammed?
