What was your thought on the flop play? You raised 4BB PF, he came out betting the flop for 1/10th of the pot. Okay the flop is as scary as it could be, but your opponent isn't showing much confidence in taking this one down by betting this little. Besides the occasional slowplay, you are pretty much ahead of his range. If he had the nuts he probably bet a little more on the flop since your position rules out some weaker raising hands and this board has most likely hit your hand in some way; (nut)flush draw, straight draw, two pair, 2nd pair, TPTK or a set. I think this is a WA situation and you had to make him pay for any draw he was trying to hit, raising him half the pot to 3/4 of the pot.

By just calling his flop bet you put yourself in a pickle with that river card. Good example of a dark tunnel bluf that flop bet of his.

Now that I look at it I see that I should have definetly pushed even after the flop and gave him bad odds of calling (if he did have 1 club). My range on him was pretty loose. I was thinking he could have had KQ, KJ, K10, Ax, ANY PAIR.. He was pretty loose.

Protect your hand. Raise on the flop, or alternatively call the flop and raise (i.e. push) the turn. I would raise on the flop because not only do I want to protect my hand but because his minbets makes me want to vomit and punch him in the head. A raise is the closest thing i have to a digital punch.

On the flop I would have raised it ($400) instead of flat calling. The villiage idiots bet was weak and I would have prefered to define my hand there. If he came over the top i would have no problem folding. His turn bet was scary but with your weak call on the flop it is understandable. I honestly don't know if I would have called it. Pretty read dependent. His River bet was weak and I have no problem with that call.

Hero raises the flop. TPTK is a bad hand to trap with on this dangerous board. 1/10th pot probe bet cannot be taken seriously.

Hero raises the turn. Villain either has a weak ace or is trying to buy the river cheap.

Hero instacalls. I don't like the way villain played the hand. Given how passive hero has played, villain should expect to get to showdown by checking. There are no hands that call that villain can beat.

Thanks for the post. I wasn't trying to trap pre flop. I was afraid of the clubs I guess. I think im coming to the conclusion that a push on the turn was a must here.
