With 6s? Usually 8s are my cutoff for raising. 88 sometimes will hold up. 66 usually is a set or bust hand.

why would you call and leave him with $9? push it on the flop, he'll call.

There is a big difference...you were ahead on the flop, and drawing virtually dead when the rest went in...don't give him a chance to get away from his hand.....something scary can fall that might run someone off....if you can get people all in on the flop in these positions do it....you didn't play this right....you played it wrong....it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't "right".
