I think this is one of those situations where you check with outs so you don't risk being checkraised.

I think you played it fine. Checking the flop allows you to see the turn without being check raised. You are only drawing to non [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A or J. The A may not even be clean, since the BB could be cold calling with AQ or KQ.

I think betting this flop would be too much of a stretch with this number of opponents. No one with a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] is going away.

I'd almost never take a shot here since so many clubs and high pairs will find a reason to call. There's too many cards that any of the many Villains could have glanced the flop with IMO, and I doubt we'll fold everyone 1 time in 8.

How could you ever take a shot at this pot....

Not only are you agianst 4 players so that alone gives a 90% chance you have 1 caller but anybody with any hand is getting 8-1 odds on a call, how can you expect any opponent to lay down a high club or any pair?

I think if you can fire the flop you'll prolly get 2 of 3 opponents to fold. And if you can fire again on the turn you pick this pot up often enough. Just make sure you're not falling into a turn c/r trap from a TAGish player (which of course I had no reads so I decided to wuss out).

If you fire here and everybody calls or you get c/r then it's a pretty easy fold on the turn.
