I think you gotta fold this.

I don't know any other information, but 16/8/.9 seems a bit too tight to be calling out of the BB with a 2pair combination here.

The ONLY hand he's calling out of the BB IMO that you could potentially draw out on is 98. Weight that against the likelihood of AA/QQ/KK/JJ/99/88/22/44 and you're not looking so hot.

I don't see villian raising us here with TT because of his aggression numbers so I'm not going to consider it.

AA-JJ are in the range of 3-betting hands of a 6% PFR player.

well, then we probably also have to discount the fact that someone with those VPIP numbers probably isn't going to call a raise out of the BB with 98o.

You're definitely right that he's more than likely raising with AA-KK-QQ so those hands should be thrown out. I'm probably still not calling.

I think you're more likely to get played back at like this from a TAG player than you are from a loose-passive type. He could have a lot of 9x hands, especially if they are suited. Sure, sometimes they have 2-pair or a set, but sometimes they have TT or 66 or K9s or some spade/straight draw combo or some other hand and they put you on AQo and think they have the nuts. I don't think this is a fold.

I absolutely agree with this statement. I just don't think villian is an aggressive player. Again maybe I'm reading too much into the numbers provided, but a .8 aggression with a VPIP that low isn't really knocking my socks off. I'm more apt to see a little mouse or rock icon in my HUD with those numbers
