I just like to look better than all the scuzz balls Im playing with. Khakis and a nice shirt do it for me. I like to think that it gives me an image of a decent player which is nice because of how aggressive I can get if the cards run bad.

and I do think it gets noticed by some poor players who grossly overestimate their ability, they are always looking to judge who the shark is and who the sucker is by appearance because thats all they have to go with.

Only if you are really bad.

At my casino clothing is optional.

Lucky bastard. Too bad they serve free drinks at mine, otherwise I might not know this isn't true where I play.

I wear warm clothing so I don't get cold. This usually means a plain sweatshirt or layers.

Only dress up if you want to chase girls after your session.

It doesn't matter what image a bad player puts on you. If they play bad, you should beat them regardless of what you are wearing. I wasn't talking about the OP being bad.

The majority of people who worry about what to wear while playing would probably be better off spending their time worrying about learning to play better.

At lower limits the way you dress won't impact your competition. I've played in a suit and in a casual shirt and jeans. No different response. At the at higher limits, you might be written off early if you dress like a wannabe, but if you play well the good players will notice and respond accordingly.

I usually wear my vintage Jerry Rice 49ers jersey. After I cracked a guy's AA with my KK he looked at me and say, "T.O. sucks." I love these guys.

Oh, you also need a cool card protecter. I use a fool's gold nugget. It seems to give me a friendlier table image when I'm check-raising all-in on the turn.

I often wear a suit. Not purposefully, just because that is what I wear to work and to me it is comfortable.

Aside from the "guy with the tie" comments I have not noticed any significant effect. At times I feel people see me as having plenty of money and this is likely enhanced by my conversational and relaxed attitude at the table. I never get upset while gambling.
