your note and the subsequent hand is a great way to reenforce selective memory and results oriented play. GL

you're right. i should stop making read based plays. i should play mechanical poker which tells me to fold flops where i am "drawing dead".

How did you have a read that he didnt have a Q?
Is it because he would have raised any Q preflop?

no, the thing is, MOST of the time ( i would venture to say a large majority, 80-90%), they check/raise top pair (and by "they" i mean TAGs, like this guy)

also, for etizzle, i only make a note if they do something weird. like if i see him occasionally c/r ragged flops or donk with top pair when they could c/r, i make a note.

Generally, if he had top pair he would have check-raised Baron's possible-continuation bet on the flop. He bets out middle pair because lots of cards can come to beat him, he might pick up the pot, and he doesnt want to possibly give a freecard.

His hand also isn't strong enough to c/r the field - he wants to limit it, so he donks baron hoping he'll raise ATo or somesuch (everyone knows baron is a postflop LAG, right? RAISE!)

IMO thinking about what the TAG is trying to accomplish in a multiway pot almost always narrows his hand range down appreciably, usually to the point hwere it's pretty easy to determine the correct play.

That said, the flop call is a little thin because of the times your pair outs are tainted when your pair is his kicker. I really like the way you utilized reads in a non-conventional fashion.

Also, chill out a bit? What's with the meltdowns in HUSH lately?

You sure do give a lot of credit to people that you don't know, assuming they vary their play.
