The game is for all intents and purposes, rake-free.

They pay something nominal like 10-20/hr in time charges.

are you trying to argue that time != rake or are you saying that since it's a small amount compared to the stakes that it is negligible?

Plenty of player besides the Greenstein Five drop into that high-limit room in the Bellagio; more than a few of them known to regularly donate dazzling sums.

Tons of players. Not like I have any true insight into the matter (although I have heard some stories), but I'm sure that some of the top pros you are thinking off can't beat the game, and are wealthy enough that it doesn't matter. Many others pass through, take a shot and can't hack it. Greenstein says there are five great players in the world (or was it six?), and I can think of dozens of players who have passed through the big game.

The most regular players (ie average more than 3 days a week for the past several months) are Ivey, Reese, Ly, and Giang. Harman plays there a lot, too. I have been told Ivey and Giang do well, but I don't really know.
