Yes, obviously the double gutter got me to call the turn.

ive played with you quite a bit and you do stupid stuff like this a lot.

Interesting, cause I don't. I'm fairly conservative, but saw an opportunity this hand. Too bad things didn't work out. Villain had KQ and didn't fold it.

How do you know my PP handle?

The intent of the raise was to take a free turn if he has a weak ace or some PP. If he had broadways, there's also some fold equity.

I don't think this guy is passive enough for that, and this is a blind on blind situation so he'll be even less passive. The free card play works best when you can be pretty sure your going to get it. Otherwise it's just a waste of money. Also if he reads you as an aggressive player, you won't have much fold equity because he'll assume you would have RR pre-flop with Ax.

I don't generally reraise Ax pre-flop, but he doesn't know that, so I see your point.

Folding the flop sucks. I thought you played it perfect. Some percentage of the time I raise this flop with complete air too.

my apologies to our_house as i mistook his handle. i was thinking of someone else who plays like a complete tard in blind steal situations but is like 17/14.

I think the way you played this is good.

Thanks Bob. I wasn't sure about the flop raise being good for the free card/fold equity combo.

Too bad villain played his hand better (whether he realized it or not) and I didn't win.
