If he had an ace where he's no vunerbae to overcards this would be the ideal play, but not here.

Hero needs to raise to near pot size but anything 85 or over is good.

No surprise. If you have a read on him... which often isn't so amazingly hard... it makes your decisions on the river/facing a reraise pretty easy.

Though in all fairness, even with a read... a really aggressive river bet/reraise = a very hard call to make with confidence.
