the biggest impact a President makes comes from all the hidden things he and his appointees do day in and day out year to year. Things like judicial appointments, regulations from the various agencies, etc. [/ QUOTE ] The we are all in really deep doo-doo. |

but do you think George Allen or any other major Republican candidate would be much better on many of these issues? [/ QUOTE ] Of course he does. Rush Limbaugh and the same echo chamber that sold him Bush have told him so. |

Re: I Have Officially Become 100% Disillusioned with Bush43
You think Bush is better than Bill Clinton? Even considering he helped balance the budget?
************************************************** ********* I give Newt Gingrich the MOST credit for balacing the budget. If you recall the House shutdown the govt for several days when Newt and Clinton clashed over the budget. Clinton wanted to spend more and Newt wanted to spend less. Also the tax revenues increased early in Clinton's term BEFORE his passed any economic legislation. Therefore he can NOT claim his economic policies improved the economy. The dot.com economy fueled a minor economic boom that crashed a few years later (and I do NOT blame Clinton for the crash of the dot.com economy). Clinton also appointed Ruth Bader Ginsberg to the sumpreme court. She was one of the votes allowing local govt to seize private property to give that property to private interests. She also claimed that the California medical marijuana laws fell under the jurisdiction of the interstate commerce clause. Never mind the pot was prescribed in Cali, sold in Cali, and used in Cali. And then he raised taxes on the middle class. And he rewarded North Korea with lots of goodies to stop developing nuclear weapons. And we now know how well that worked.... And he did NOTHING to curb terrorism, in fact according to former FBI director Louis Freeh, Clinton looked the other way when evidence pointed to the Iranians were behind the Kobar tower bombings. Clinton was lucky to be president during a period of economic boom that filled the govt coffers. His foreign policy was attrocious. Warren Christopher and Madalyn Half-Bright were bunglers in the first degree.... |

Pre-positioning yourself for when the next round of indictments hits, Felix?
************************************************** ******* The DeLay indictments are a sham and DeLay will EASILY be acquitted. I will be surprised if DeLay even has to go to trial. And I stand by that prediction. Ronnie Earle is a despicable man. Being a Texan, I have seen this scumbag in action for years. Most people outside of Texas never even heard of him until he indicted Delay. As for Rove/Libby. I doubt they will be indicted on anything. And I stand by that prediction. |

Rep. Tom DeLay, the former House majority leader, turned himself in at a sheriff's office in Texas, where he was photographed, fingerprinted and released on $10,000 bond on conspiracy and money laundering charges. [/ QUOTE ] Keep drinking that kool-aid |

I will bet you $1000 that...........
Tom DeLay is either:
1. Acquitted on both the conspiracy and money laudering charges. 2. The indictments are dismissed and this never goes to trial. Lets go kool-aid man. Put your money where your big mouth is..... |

Re: I Have Officially Become 100% Disillusioned with Bush43
the only thing GWB did that is remotely "useful" is he responded to 9/11 - but a trained chimp could have done that - and the response was piss poor at best - start a war in Afghanistan - stop pursuing our target there because it's too hard and go fight Iraq instead -
and now the cries are "he's an imbecile, but he's better then what the Democrats have" - still trying to find that bright side - don't worry, boys, I'm sure the grapes are sour and you wouldn't have wanted them anyways |

Re: I Have Officially Become 100% Disillusioned with Bush43
Hi Felix,
I agree that Bush panders to the left-wing too much, but let's wait and see what happens over the next three years before making harsh judgments. His job is only 5/8ths done, and he's a LOT smarter than he comes across as being; so I'll bet he has some things up his sleeve which will enable him to finish on a high note. |
