Ignorant newbie question alert: Let's say you buy a laptop that has a screen with 1600x1200 or better resolution... what does it take to add a second external 21" monitor so I can 8-table? Is it tough?

[/ QUOTE ]

plug it in the back and voola!

I was just reading that the dell 6000 has some connectivity issues and won't recognize wireless networks sometimes. So, if you want a laptop to play on wireless networks all over the world (or your town), I'd read a few reviews about it.

Maybe they were people with crappy wireless networks, who knows. But I was thinking about getting a laptop and this is what I heard.

Not exactly. YOu need to tell your laptop (via the desktop settings) that there's a 2nd monitor and to spread the display across this 2nd monitor. Still very easy tho.

My 6000 hasn't had that problem. Love it.

I have heard of some program available that makes it easier somehow (active tables pop up better or something).

Your're refering to something else, but while you wait for someone to give you a good link for that, get allSnap. It will to a small degree make your multitabling easier, and in general improve you quality of life.

What CPU do these have?

Running 8x tables + PA +PT = Pc lags. Not to forget internet and msn/aim.

Im ona 1.8GHZ Deskto 512mb ram and Radeon 9800pro one monitor XP pro.

Please think about the CPU and ram before u run off to get a laptop because it displays at 1900x1200......

Not running pt/pa = bad.

I'm running a Dell I6000, and I don't have any problems with the cards being too small. Sometimes the pre-action checkboxes are a tad hard to click, but it isn't a serious liability.

With that much screen real estate, an external mouse is a must.
