1999 or 2000 Infiniti g20. You will not find a car that is more fun to drive or has better handling in this price range. Only good in stick though...

That sounds nice, I'll look into it. I'm willing to learn to drive a stick.

Oh, and here's a hot chick.

Are you set on getting a brand new car? It's not adviseable, but I won't flame you for it. I'm not up on the latest used car markets, so I'll just give my standard response for new cars under $20k.

Check out the Honda Civic, the Subaru Impreza, the Mazda 3, Scion tC, and probably the Toyota Camry. Each is strong in a different area, so just go drive them all and buy the one you like the best.

I've always been a fan of the chevy impala. Nice car, gets good gas mileage. You should be able to find a year old one thats basically like new for 20k or under.

#1 Scion TC - $16,000-$17,000
http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/scion/tc/index.html

Looks nice, backseat are huge for a coupe, very reliable - Toyota. Decent performance engine wise, front wheel drive, handles decently.

#2 Subaru Impreza 2.5i - $18,000-$19,000
http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/suba....html?action=1

Looks are unique (2.5i does not have a hood scoop), all wheel drive makes it more versatile, reliable - 2nd to the Scion. Decent engine performance and all wheel drive improves handling.

#3 Dodge Neon SRT-4 - $21,000 MSRP but can be bought for <$20,000.
http://www.edmunds.com/new/2005/dodg...rt4/index.html

Performance, performance, performance. Gas mileage isn't going to be good if you floor it. It might not be as reliable, it is a dodge. But it is god damn fast.
