I don't play a ton of NL cash games, but is it really standard procedure there to check the flop after flopping an overpair? It seems to me you have to bet out here for 2 reasons:
1. You probably have the best hand. He's probably got 2 or 3 outs, which means you don't have to bet a ton to prevent him from having odds to draw out, but you do have to bet *something*. 2. Image. If you are always checking your strong hands on the flop, you're going to have trouble getting people lay down when you miss and make a continuation bet. I think TT-AA is a ridiculously small range to put villan on with no other reads on him. This could easily be AK, AQ, heck even AJ, and it could certainly be smaller pairs than AJ. And it wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone play a suited connector this way, even at the $150-200 buy-in level. |

IMHO, the play in online MTTs just isn't good enough to make that check profitable. |
