Re: Hypothetical Question
depending on confidently he's playing and how good he's been running.
I would not play 22-44 against super lags, because even against them you will be 50/50 almost everytime and have no idea where you are in the hand since they could be on any two. even 55-66 but they are a bit better since you will often find him holding an under. 22-44 i would just limp on the button and see the flop, its okay to limp on the button when the situation is correct to do so. |

Re: Hypothetical Question
you failed to mention his defending requirements.
he he defends ALL hands then i htink you should raise and be prepared to bet 22 on the flop and turn then check behind on the river of fold to a bet (if he isn't the bluffing maniac) this is clearly the correct answer unless this maniac also bluffs a lot. but you said he checks and calls to non nuts striaghts etc. this is the EXACT maniac you want to play every pocket pair against. why would you WANT to move to another seat???? HOWEVER< its important that his defending requirements be very very loose (i.e. virtually any two) AND that he be as passive (check calling) as you say he is) Barron |

Re: Hypothetical Question
I believe what you have to do here, is look at the range of hands the BB will call with. 22 is a dog against JTs & QJs & T9s & 98s, etc.
