They had agreed on a $4K sidebet on each SNG and also agreed that if one of their connections went down, the extra $4K was void.

[/ QUOTE ]

What a stupid agreement. Unless this was a buddy, I think you'd just be asking for a guy to have "connection problems".

It had to be someone he trusted or how would he know if the guy would transfer him all the money on the side bets. I watched MoneyMaker beat the guy 3 times in a row.

This is100% within the rules of online play and therefor is not cheating.

Is it good sportsmanship? maybe, maybe not...

but that doesn't matter, poker is for $ and anything within the rules to win it is fine in my opinion.

Example: Say in football a team fumbles but is clearly down, the refs blow the call and give you teh ball. Do you say "na, we know you were down, you can keep it?" that may be the "sporting" thing to do however no teams do this and it's nto cheating... if you were playing a friendly pick up game with friends you may do something like this though, in the spirit of sportsmanship.

* Jessica Alba's ass is driving me nuts. I purpose we all donate %5 of our winnings each month to a fund to pay her to do like a hardcore porno or playboy spread or something.

well, just to note i don't consider it cheating to try to take advantage of the tech problem, i just don't do it myself. most players that play above microstakes don't either in my experience. i'd consider it akin to chopping the blinds w/a bad hand and then refusing to chop them the next time when you like your hand. it's within the rules, but not within the sporting conduct that we should be able to expect from each other.

also, i believe the above quoted passage is waaaay extreme. say you're playing a guy headsup in a WSOP tourney and someone tells him his daughter just got in a horrible car accident and might be dying. he asks if you'll reschedule. do you respond "no," which is "within the rules"? do you call time on him so he only has a minute to act? i mean, c'mon. you can think it's ok to play on when someone's computer dies, but saying anything within the rules is fine regardless is asinine.

also, i've found that almost all good decisions in life come with unexpected benefits. EX: i took a total donk's last dollars (in his wallet) in a B&M. he had mentioned being hungry and we just happened to be near the sandwich stand. i overheard that he didn't have enuf comp dollars for a free sandwich and i bought it for him on my players card. obviously -EV. the next day i see him again and he requests a table change to play at my table and proceeds to lose plenty more money to me.

do good things and good sh** will happen back to you, godd****t. we're not freakin' monkeys and life's just nicer when we go a little out of our ways to treat each other like human beings IMO. also, to the original poster, i'm not judging you at all here, i actually think it's cool you were willing to openly and honestly bring this subject up and seek out others' opinions.

A little programming glitch or an unheard of 121% of players support my actions. I guess that is even better than the athlete that goes out there and gives it 110%.

Or a little brain glitch which makes you think number of votes = % (Even when actual % is listed right next to number of votes).
