Party has to cater to its largest markets.

You mean Americans? If it takes 5 hours until it finishes, that will be 4am ET!

The same with the $200k Saturday tournament, that starts at 10pm ET. Who does that cater for? Certainly not Euro players or even East Coast americans unless they like to go to bed at 4am.

Looks like they are really beefing up the free roll route. Seems to be a daily thing now. Plus the 100k qualifying one too.

I love free rolls, I'd almost play party again just for that. Damn them.

i agree that a greater variety of start-times should be considered by party for tournaments.

But it's obvious when the most players are on.

I play some of the single-table satellites for the cruise and Aussie Millions for example...and overnight (eastern-time U.S.) it is pretty impossible just to get ONE table going.

Obviously they are setting these up at the peak-hours.

No...of course players don't conciously want to stay up until 4am...but I think they are purposefully starting these when Americans on both coasts are likely to be able to register.
The key is to get them at the START of the tourney...obviously if they never sign-up in the first place then it doesn't matter what they think of staying up until 4am.

I wish there were more big tourneys at different hours... but there ARE other tourneys to be had out there around the clock...and I understand Party's reasoning for wanting to get the most players for the biggest tourneys.

decepticon5 (ML poster) tried to sign up for this -- he had 249 raked hands yesterday! Tough break.

Is there notice made on how many of these things there will be? Will they run indefinitely? Or are they just running this week or somesuch?

Thanks, I realize I'm being pretty lazy here...
