you can also write a loop looking something like this:



declare (often dim) i, answer as integer

answer=0

for i=1 to 40
answer = 8+2i + answer
next i

return answer


answer = the sum of all the seats

Honestly.

Sn = n(a1 + an) / 2
= 40(10 + 88) / 2
= 1960

Not sure but if i add them up in excel i get 1960

Because you're forgetting to include the first row in your sum...
