this is not a sick hand. if this gave you trouble, you've got problems.

don't even know why i responded.

if this is an 'easy' fold then MP would be correct to push any queen here everytime. it might even make push a 9 correct some % of the time (rather than perhaps value betting against a possible straight/flush/AA/KK).

so you are MP and lets say you hold QJ and you make it to the river using the line in the OP. are you pushing? i am pretty sure 90% of us are value betting. but if we can get another Q to fold, wouldn't it be reasonable to be pushing a lot more often.

i am thinking about this push against a TAGish 2+2er type.

I make a tester bet, $10 into a $24.00 pot.

BB folds, MP raises to $55

This flop line is dead solid perfect. You priced in the draws and you have no idea whether you are ahead. What more could you ask for?

I really like your flop bet. By betting small you don't protect against a draw and you also may entice a raise from a worse hand that you can't feel comfortable calling.

lol twp youve done it again

also, villain gave you the easiest laydown in the world, congratulations on calling 600 in hopes for a split

ih. Just to make you feel a little better there ARE players whom you should call in this situation. But they've got to be really bad, and you'll definitely notice them going all in a lot trying to get people to fold when the board looks scary.
for example:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP ($2065.60)
CO ($302.60)
Hero ($1164.10)
SB ($282.05)
BB ($792)
UTG ($392.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $3.
1 fold, MP calls $6, CO calls $6, Hero calls $6, SB (poster) completes, BB raises to $24, MP folds, CO calls $24, Hero calls $24, SB folds.

Flop: ($102) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

BB bets $75, CO calls $272.60 (All-In), Hero calls $272.60, BB calls $197.60.

Turn: ($919.80) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
BB checks, Hero bets $200, BB calls $200.

River: ($1319.80) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
converter screwed up but I check and BB goes all in and I call
Final Pot: $1889.80

In this case BB was ridiculously aggressive and could not let go of made hands. It was extremely +ev to call almost all his raises preflop because you could be pretty sure he would push (if you showed a little weakness).

In your case I'm guessing your villain wasn't constantly overvaluing his hands though, or trying to bluff people out.

By the way, BB showed AA
