Re: $1050: HU Hand
"I don't afford my opponents the luxury of being able to min-raise my BB HU when they have a short stack"
Does this mean you'd push back at him preflop?? |

I like leading the flop then c/r'n the turn. Gives you the option of taking the pot down on the flop, checking to your free card, or c/r'n to a fold. [/ QUOTE ] This guy has 9BB left. Why is everybody talking like there's all kinds of poker to be played in this hand? Planning a check-raise when the pot is more than 1/3 of your opponent's stack is an interesting line. Irieguy |

Re: $1050: HU Hand
[ QUOTE ]
I don't afford my opponents the luxury of being able to min-raise my BB HU when they have a short stack. If I mistakenly did, I wouldn't check the flop when I miss. If you were going to call a push over your bet on the turn, your bet can only make sense if you felt you had more fold equity by betting 1200 than by putting him all-in. That can't be true, so your bet amount on the turn was a mistake. Irieguy [/ QUOTE ] Pushing here is not good, it is a strong hand pretty often I think and this was the first time I'd seen it. I like the PF play. Yes I bet 1200 because I believe it held a higher degree of FE then a push. |

Re: $1050: HU Hand
I push all in on the flop. Trying to checkraise without a made hand in a heads up situation like this where the blinds are huge is retarded, IMO. The checkraiser is always going to give the original better too good of odds to fold any but the worst hands.

Re: $1050: HU Hand
Were you planning on check raising the flop? Thats the only reason I see for not leading out on the flop. After he unfortunatly checks behind you I would probably play it the same way. Betting out on the flop would be the only other line I see especially vs a passive opponent since he will likely fold there.
