Jeff - I thought it was related to hands voluntarily played, but in my case the number is way too high. I was shown to be seeing fourth about 21% of the time in this sample, and the VP$IP number was over 40%. Now I can't go back and look because the trial version seems to lose your information when you exit, and it won't let me import any more hands.

I've been crazy busy with work, poker, tennis, hiking and many of life's great wonders. I miss the poker forum. Hopefully things will slow down for me in November from a work perspective.

BTW, I actually purchased the product and it seems to be working for me. I will keep downloading and see if the results seem to mirror what I input into Statking...the manual program I bought for B&M play about 4 years ago.

I think the VP$IP is not how many times you play third, but is how many times on all streets you put money in the pot - so if you bet 3rd through to 6th and check the river then the VP$IP is 80%. Not totally useful, but the program does tell you which hands you win and lose money with, which seems to me to be worth $15.

See sara's third post (4'th from the top). Same thing happened to me. The other link she provides works.

What does the VP$IP number represent?

Yes, voluntarily put money into the pot

but in my case the number is way too high.

I thought the same thing. My folded 3rd was near 65-70%, but my VP$IP was 50%. Doesn't seem correct.

I was going to buy it when it first came out and e-mailed the guy. he never responded. Looks like the project is done with now.

The link goes to a rakeback site because of the extra period after the URL.

Follow the other link or remove it to find the site.

I might check this out once I start playing Stud again. Does anyone know if it works for 8/b, since that's all I play?
