I don't have a problem with the concept of a death penalty. I also don't beleive it to be a moral requirement. As a nation I think we would be better served abolishing our current death penalty than leaving it as is.

Since splitting hairs has been rampant when discussing abortion in the other thread, I'll bring this up. The day before the first trimester is up, the fetus is not a human, but after that, he is? Where is that line? At midnight when the clock strikes?

[/ QUOTE ]

It depends, if it's Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday then the line is at 5:46PM (Philipines Time)

If it's Monday, Wednesday or Saturday the line is at 8:13 AM (Dominican Republic time)

If it's on Friday then it's 10:36PM (Crawford, TX time)

I'm confused.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, you're not.

[/ QUOTE ]The line for when life begins, in my world, is the same as when life ends for the rest of the world: brainwave activity, which is loosely around the end of the 3rd month (which can be debated plus or minus a few weeks).

But in my world, it begins at conception. This is why debates on abortion will never be solved, it will continue to go in circles.

prolife across the board....

none of that hypocricy where you want to kill one but not the other - though my reasons for being against abortion are remarkably different then my reasons for being against the death penalty.

He told you quite a lot. You've chosen not to see it.

[/ QUOTE ]No, he just stated the blantantly obvious that we all learned back in middle school.

What did I miss? Let me guess, you can't tell me because I obviously wouldn't get it.
