I . . . . folded, despite getting 11.25:1.
First limper shook his head and sheepishly turned over A-8, one pair. Second limper showed A-3, flopped two pair, and his hand was good. What was the deciding factor in my folding was the tsking and head-shaking of the second limper. He wouldn't have felt the pot was his and that he had been rivered had he had just one pair, (unless he has A-K or A-Q, both unlikely since he didn't raise preflop) since he had been called down in two spots up 'til the river. I've found that any time a player putting money into the pot on the river shakes his head in disgust, I have a better hand than him maybe one time in a thousand. |
