This was my first reaction. PFR is directly to your left; why wouldn't you go for the check-raise and trap the field?

I also prefer the PF limp here.

I'd fold preflop.

Flop standard.

Turn you should just call.

You've got to fold this river although a lot of people would call here getting 20-1 with top pair so its not that bad even though i doubt your good here even 2% of the time.

Folding A8s preflop in an unraised pot at a fishy table is waaaaaay too tight.

Your flop play makes me wince.

I thought it was OK considering the dead money. Why didn't you like it?

Call the turn.

Not when your the first one in and any decent player can then raise and have position on you with a hand that likely dominates yours.

I don't agree. Position becomes a lot less relevant if you flop your flush draw. As far as other fits go, you should discount your hand if raised like any other hand.

EDIT: And you often have relative position to the bettor to better determine if you have odds to continue.

I was going to say...

I think we have a better chance to build the pot by *not* facing opponents with 2 cold.

[/ QUOTE ]

...but then I realized that MP2 was the PFA, and us leading the pot actually has a greater chance of facing the field with 2 than going for a check-raise. Checking with the intention of raising MP2 is clearly the right play here.
