i like the preflop raise. if he's going to play it, this is the way to do it. but i agree to bet the flop instead of waiting for the turn.

I didn’t act soon enough (on the flop) in either hand. Not sure if I won them because or in spite of that!

Looks like the consensus is more lame than inspired! That’s OK. I’m still getting used to tables that aren’t populated by calling stations, so this is a little new for me.
