I don't know about 'ridiculously', but yes, it would be bad. The turn is a complete blank, the reason to "just" call the flop, is to raise the turn if a blank hits, not to fold.

Initially I thought raising the flop was okey, and it probably still is, but I like raising the turn better.

Since our villian would probably do this with over cards, a smaller pair, a T with a worse kicker, or an underpair like 77, yeah, its very very bad.
