not neccarily true over bet post oak bet there is a ton of ways to manipulate this situation. Checking is the worst of them then there is no chance you make more money.

because i would bet flop with anything, i check the turn, and if i check the river it looks super weak?

Edit: plus if I bet river, what hand is calling me there?

Against an aggressive river player I like check-call. Against a passive river player I like a bet. If you've been slamming chips I like a big bet.

Right, so my question is, is that more likely, than a club betting the river trying to bluff me. I guess this is where it comes in handy to REALLY know your opponent's tendencies.

You'd be surprised how often someone with even like a T or J just checks behind fearing a check-raise or a check-call from a better hand. Just go based on your opp, but I doubt opponent is going to value bet a low club.

zeebo, would you value bet the Tc there? I wouldn't, but this could be wrong.. (and i mean universally i wouldn't, would take a real odd type of opponent i would do it)

in azk's case only hand i see routinely value betting if he checks worse hand is Qc. but i dunno

If I was Villain I would nearly always bet the Tc.

The river 4c instead of 2c doesn't change anything, if he had a set on the turn he was betting it.
