I'll back off if I get multiple callers pre-flop and the board shows 3 to a straight or flush that I have no part of and I don't pair up, or maybe if I raise a middle pair and all three cards have me covered.

Some reasens I know is:
* Sometimes in early position when I do not think that some players will fold if I bet but they will if I checkraise (or bet the turn if they check). * Mix up my game * Slowplay (if I have checked before when I did not have anything) * Late position when I whish to see another card and I fear that I will be checkraised. Some people always checkrais when rags hit the flop when the preflopraiser raise... * When someone already have raised the flop (depending on my cards) * When I have got reraised preflop.... * With many callers and I feel that a raise wont help me (can happen sometimes with few callers too). |
