imo, you should definitely be calling a river bet unimproved, depending on the card. Folding the river takes away one of the main benefits of checking the turn (not folding the best hand).

i bet everytime - you're in position HU vs a loose passive:
(1) could have called flop with anything, why give him a free look at a 4 outer? (2) unlikely to c/r with most better hands (3) have tons of outs (4) he'll call the turn with any diamond no pair |

I second Lmn55d's post. I think a check is correct without a more specific read on his post-flop play.

The main reason I'd bet here is because you will get called by worse [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]s and lone Js. You can still check the river unimproved and win.

i'd bet. you can take a free showdown if you don't improve, but if you do improve you can get another bet. if he check-raises oh well.
