Re: Having trouble at 11s and 6s on Party (don\'t laugh)
[ QUOTE ]
At the low buy-ins, most everybody is playing tight at the bubble, because they are just happy to make their money back. Afraid of ending up OOTM. [/ QUOTE ] I do NOT agree with this. at the 5's the players usually don't care too much about the money. alot of them are playing for fun, and they love to call you with junk on the bubble to "catch" you "bluffing". they get more satisfaction out of that than making it in the money IMO. |

You want to avoid being blinded down to where you have no folding equity. That usually means pushing in the SB fairly often.

or if play is just so random that it's not worth it. Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] The above line shows a lack of understanding. Bad play, by definition, is bad and will lose to good play. Lori |

a quibble, lorinda - and I suspect that you know about 100x more about poker than I do, from your posts.
But especially for a new player, it's important for them to understand that IN THE LONG RUN poor play loses to better play - but in the short run you can get tortured severely by "bad" players - gotta stay the course. |
