Sorry, my bad, you are right, I forget that the Hero has trips, I was thinking a pair, with trips you have 9 outs to hit a Boat, so your are right, there is no way my thought is correct.

This is the one line that cannot have any merit at all regardless of your opponent.

Assume your opponent will fold all non-flush hands and call all flush hands. Then it's not a bad bet.

I like this method, because 1) It induces a bluff if he doesn't have a diamond a decent amount of the time 2)Most villians aren't folding ANY flush here no matter how low 3)If he has a big flush he will most likely raise you and and then you have to call to try and fill 4)By checking you aren't allowing him to try and push you off of your hand with a raise and 5)If you do fill up there is a good chance you can check raise the river.
