Re: What to do with this flop raise
You're up against A2 of diamonds, or top set if you are lucky. Unless you have a very specific read on your opponent, you are 50-50 at best here. I'd call, since this a $25 table, but you've got to be ready to fold on a bad turn card.

Ribbo seemed to be speaking more generally then this hand so my example wasn't meant to be specific.

Re: What to do with this flop raise
I call.
You are a big dog to any A2d You are a mild dog to any A2 with pair You are slightly behind to most Ax diamonds You are only a favorite to a set that also has no low AND no diamonds --greg |

[ QUOTE ]
Ribbo seemed to be speaking more generally then this hand so my example wasn't meant to be specific. [/ QUOTE ] RIBBO: "You put your money in with a good hand that is profitable on that flop, THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS." GOOPER: "Are you saying that if I got 1/2 my stack in on the flop then made a -EV call all in on the turn that would be good poker?" You are missing his point. If you have the odds to get your stack in on the flop, then don't worry about 'what if the turn bricks' |
