I'm not really a tennis fan. It seems to me like everyone except Federer is mediocre in this generation of men's tennis. Remember before Federer got good and Sampras was newly retired? There was a serious void there. It's hard to say someone is the best ever when they have no competition.

Ill simulate Federer US open run without a first serve. Ill be going game by game.(Im not even taking into account federer is a clutch performer)

Round 1:
6-1, 6-1, 6-1
Federer won 58% of his points with second serve, do i really need to do any math? Its clear he would have won anyway since federer broke more than 50% of the time( I admit Im guilty of not taking into account stamina onto the future rounds)

Wasn't much of a void between Sampras and Federer. Sampras won the US Open in 2002 and Federer won Wimbledon in 2003, I think.

Federer also ended Sampras' 7 straight Wimbledon titles in 2001 or 2002, can't remember which.

That's points off the second serve. I'd assume the points he won off his first serve in that match was somewhere around 80-85%.

You're forgetting that he's the number 1 seed and he's playing a qualifier in the first round.
