[ QUOTE ]
Bourbon Manhattan, straight up. Maker's Mark is my staple. If you want a good girly drink, try a real Mai Tai, made the old school Trader Vic's way, with lime juice and orgeat syrup -- none of this pineapple juice and crap. [/ QUOTE ] I like the way you think... I haven't gotten into Manhattans yet but it's only a matter of time. |

Re: Favorite Cocktail Thread
I like bourbon staight or on the rocks, too, but a Manhattan's a nice pre-dinner drink, since the vermouth takes a little of the edge off. When you try one, don't make it too dry -- the vermouth's in there for a reason. And make sure they add bitters -- that's what ties it all together.

tanqueray ten martini, extra dry, but more often its maker's on the rocks or stoli-o/red bull.

Re: Favorite Cocktail Thread
My tastes are pretty rough (inexperienced?). I guess I don't appreciate finer alcohol. I like to drink gin tonic, crown and coke, and really enjoy Ceasars but don't order it often.
