CO also folded. i'm assuming he also had a smaller pocket pair. one more question... given the way i played this preflop, what is your line if he checks the flop to me? check behind and try to keep the pot as small as possible? pot sized bet (same as a push given opponents stack sizes)? anything else?

And two, you are investing $8, which is more than 10% of your stack. And three, $8 is more than 10% of both villians stack combined. So, according to 5/10, yes it's a terrible call.
