For comparison, here's a hand where I slowplayed aces, something I'm not sure If I'd ever done before, and it worked out exactly as intended.
My read + table history are very important here: Villain is a bit loose preflop, but not particularly loose with his raises, and calls of raises.. and he's willing to make laydowns. His reraise pf definitely puts him on a premium hand. On the other hand, not too long ago at this table, I stacked someone when I made a large pf rereraise with AA, and the original raiser went all-in. Seeing as villain will be willing to fold if he thinks I have aces, I didnt want to blow him away. At the same time I wanted to build the pot, so I minraised pf.. also serving to contrast with the way I had played my aces the previous time. I was planning on check raising the flop. On the turn, I bet small to induce a large raise with the premium hand he would now feel is good. His AK got nicely stacked.
