I was going to say the same thing, I check call these a lot but it's probably not the best thing to do. At .50/1.00 there is no way that I am bet/folding this. I just think a bluff or a misplayed jack is way to common. So I end up check/calling on these 4 straight boards, but you do miss a lot of value bets I think.

Yeah after thinking about it you're right that a big J is a real possibility here, so I withdraw what I said about bet/fold.

actually playing empire last night I had a lot of people bluffing me on the river when 4th str8 or flush card hit. I am calling this almost every time, minus a read, in a low limit 1/2 or less.
