Actually, this makes a lot more sense than most of the crap that comes from Tancredo. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is any legal mechanism for the federal government to keep money out of the hands of state and local governments. The voters in New Orleans and Louisiana certainly should recall the mayor and the governor. Then again, I don't know how you would even hold a recall election for New Orleans, given that the people eligible to vote in that election are now scattered all over the country. Absentee ballots, maybe? I don't think anybody would know where to send them at this point. Maybe in a few more weeks.
