Only been on one cruise. Only advice I have is, don't go Carnival.

I went from NY to San Juan and onto a Royal Caribbean cruise around the um...Caribbean...We hit St. Martin, Aruba, Curacao, St. Thomas, and maybe something else, but I'm not sure...
It was pretty awesome, I will say. Even though I got food poisoning towards the back end of it...It knocked me out for maybe a day and a half, but I was ok after that... EDIT: Oh wait, I also went on a cruise around the Greek Isles, and that was super nice, even though the cruise ship was supposedly bad (everyone I was with thought it sucked, but I didn't mind). Greece is beautiful when you're not in Athens, so you might consider that too. I don't remember the name of the cruise line...
