The Borgata
I bought my father into the Borgata 75+15 for Father's Day, and we had a good time playing it. The players were atrocious but it's a tight payout structure and a rough blind schedule, so expect high variance. There were 160+ playing that day and only the Top 9 got paid. Antes kick in after the first hour, and at the start of the third hour it was an all-in fest. I quadrupled up when my A5 busted K's (that's how short my stack was relative to the blinds and antes), and would have been in nice shape if my J's had held up against T7 and Q8, but alas....
I got up to go watch my father, but when I arrived, his cards were face up on the table and he was behind on the flop. He finished one place higher than I did, not bad at all for his first tournament experience (he played a lot in high school, parlaying his $.25 weekly Catholic school tuition into spending money), and we were I belive 22nd and 23rd.
