Default Re: Should I get DSL?

I'm not really sure what's good or bad about DSL but I've always had cable internet. Now, comcast is gonna start charging me about $45 a month for it in a month or so, up from the current $20 I pay.

Cable and DSL companies both charge somewhat the same amount of money for broadband. But both of them will offer deals for new customers, like the $20 a month deal you have had for the last 6 months or whatever. These deals are always only temporary. The only way to keep them permanently is to switch back and forth between a cable modem and DSL every 3-6 months, which hardly seems worth the bother unless you are dirt poor.

That's true, and the DSL deal is, in fact, for 9 months. However, I likely won't be living in my current apartment after April 2006 so I think that it just might be worth the switch.
