I dont think folding is weak because there is someone left to act. 44 and flush draws both are possible for BB which he might check-raise you with. Paying 2 to see a 3way turn would be really bad (your outs are worth less too then since you are open to redraws even if you hit).
If UTG donks here with pretty much any 2, I think raising is better than calling to get it HU.
If he reraises you with a worse hand though, the raise gets very tricky because you have to pay so much to go to showdown on a bad overcard-board.
