Re: raise turn? or standard?
[ QUOTE ]
If you are the other guy, and are holding something like two pair or a set, do you fold to a bet here? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not the other guy. The other guy is an unknown and probably dumb 3/6 player who will definitely c/c a two pair or set or 8-x or random pocket pair or a weaker ace. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] 3) i'm not trying to fold a better hand (like a small heart) i'm betting for value. [/ QUOTE ] are you convinced this guy could call with less than a flush though? If you are the other guy, and are holding something like two pair or a set, do you fold to a bet here? [/ QUOTE ] This is a HU button steal situation. You will be called often by less than a flush, frequently enough to make a riverbet in this situation correct IMO, although it is close. His bet is for value. Villain's river check usually means he doesnt have a heart, but will definitely call with an 8 or A here. |

Re: raise turn? or standard?
how would raising the turn offer your "protection against hearts." A typical 3/6 player isn't folding a heart to a raise.
