Re: Is This Collusion?
I've never understood the appeal of this. It doesn't really bother me, but I generally play harder against good friends than anyone else. Bragging rights have always been more important than the money.
[ QUOTE ] I have an arrangement with a good friend. When there are more than just the two of us in the pot, all bets are off: play as hard as you want. But if it's head-up, then we only bet top pair or better. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Is This Collusion?
I can't recall ever sitting in a home game (which I have not in the last 7 years -- had a scare from a drunk fellow with a pistol in Skiatook, Oklahoma) where there wasnt some form of collusion.

Re: Is This Collusion?
It happens in my home game all the time and I have a problem with it. I know for sure they're not colluding because I've been close to one of them for 20 yrs. I don't like the fact they're capping with a 3rd in but start checking it down as soon as it's h/u. It's bs.
I was caught between 2 guys in AC who were giving each other bets back when one of them won. Someone said something real quick and it stopped because the loser was essentially freerolling against the odd guy out. |

[/ QUOTE ] Giving a bet or two won't make that much of a difference and I see it a lot and don't really care. Giving the whole pot is another matter. On the odd and rare occasion that I win a ginormous pot in NL, I usually throw a SB to everyone on the table. Lawrence |
