This is precisely the cause of pissing matches and talking at cross purposes. At the same time rational people need to recognise that values are not guaranteed, that is, not "true" as such. As Nietzsche said: who says you can't argue about taste? Taste is all you can argue about. He meant that taste (read values) does not admit of truth. |
