Really? I didn't think raising was that easy. Yeah he could have a high PP, but like pepsquad said, he sees the two nines on the board too... I opened from the CO so me having a 9 is a definite possibility, I raised him on the flop, 3-bet his turn check raise and he still caps and leads the river... don't you think an overpair slows down after I 3-bet the turn? Would be a lot clearer if it wasn't his second hand at the table I guess.

depends if u have a read or not. Against a sane, decent player...then yeah having 66 is a possibility. But you provided no read, so imo an overplayed KK or AA is likely as well.

IF my harddrive didnt crap out on me a while ago, I could show u some 50/100 hands where unknowns overplayed some really really crappy hands. Maybe its site dependant, I dunno, but FPS and not paying attention to the board seems pretty prevalent at some of these limits.

And yes, I can see 66 being 3-bet here pretty easily. Id probably do it myself. He'd play it like I would to, if thats what he has. Dunno, I just think the possibility of an overplayed hand should be there. Or even something like K9s (Ive seen a 2+2er three bet K7s in the small blind against a open raise from the button.)

So, yeah...I can see an argument for raising and for not raising.

Yes I also thought something like K9s was a possiblity. Another factor that no one mentioned though is that raising here gains 1 BB when I'm ahead, but costs me 2 if I'm behind

The key to this hand is getting a read that isn't "unknown". Shouldn't be super hard to figure out what he's 3-betting you with preflop and then playing the flop and turn like that. 66 feels likely unless he's an ultra donk.

Nope. You can't raise this river. He went through the pains of CHECK-RAISING AND capping you on the turn and continues at the river. He sees those two 9's out there just as well as you do. If he doesn't have one, you can bet he sure as sh*t knows that you do...and doesn't care. You ARE beat here against a good player (which we have to assume given he's an unknown).

K9 plays the same. I raise.

In case you couldn't tell from the $750 I dropped at your table last night doing things like raising 45s utg then calling capped betting back to me, clearly I do not
