[ QUOTE ]
He was giving me grief for 3 betting his blind steal with junk and hitting trips. Told him he was a bit of a blind stealer.

[/ QUOTE ]

The proper response to this is one of the following:

1. "STFU."

2. "Pokar is easy."

3. "Dood I was sooted."

4. "I'm here to gamble."

Under no circumstances are you to respond to a table coach with anything along the lines of "According to PokerTracker, you're Attempt to Steal Blinds is at 31% over a 73 hand sample."

At this time, PT is ok.

Here's a link that includes Party Poker's stance on what is not ok:

Your blind stealer might be a fool. But you are a larger fool for mentioning PT. Just say "I like tacos."

you are an idiot...if the dude tries to steal your blinds, don't give him a percentage. Just say, i'm tired of you stealing my blinds, don't give him a percentage...jesus christ.

I don't see where the OP said he quoted percentages at the table, just that he thought the raiser was a habitual stealer, which is bad enough.

If people get torqued when you make what appears to be a questionable 3-bet, I like to say I misclicked. Or just had a feeling.

You "played" it like a fish. Mentioning PT at the table is probably one of the most -EV chat comments you can make.
Here are some good topics you can have nice conversation on :
-cashout curse (I had nice conversation yesterday with two guys we were discussing best strategies of cashouts/deposit to "fool the system")
-weather
-recent sport event
-actual hands ("jeez I need some cards", "I cant cought anything on the flop", "nice hand", "well played", "that's poker")
-stock market (if anyone at the table is interested)
-gossips
-some other random social topic

But dont discuss what is good or bad strategy , dont mention PT, dont mention you are paying attention, dont mention anything which can convey that you are actually thinking about the game.
Ok your thinking was fishy, time to fix it.

Best wishes
